Instructions for obtaining a Marriage License

 

  1. The Bride and Groom will need to come to Clerk’s Office together with the following items:
    1. Cash/Check/Money Order for $30.00 (we do not accept credit cards)
    2. Photo ID for both parties
  1. When you are in the office:
    1. You will enter your personal information into the Marriage Kiosk
    2. The clerk will give you an oath to sign and two licenses and a return envelope to give to your marriage official
  2. After the wedding the marriage official has five business days to return the two licenses to the Clerk’s Office
  3. There are two ways to receive a copy of your Marriage License:
    1. Mail a request and return envelope with a $3.00 check or money order to the office
    2. Come in person to the office with $3.00 cash/check/money order.
  4. In order to change your name with DMV and Social Security Administration you must submit a certified copy of your marriage license.
  5. The Clerk forwards a copy off all marriage licenses to Department of Vital Records each month.
