Commonwealths Attorney Serving as the Commonwealth's Attorney, Lisa Caruso, is responsible for the prosecution of criminal cases in the Dinwiddie County Circuit Court, General District Court and Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. An elected law enforcement official, Mrs. Caruso also acts as legal advisor to the Dinwiddie County Sheriff's Office.

Located within the office of the Commonwealth's Attorney, the Dinwiddie County Victim-Witness Assistance Program is available to assist both crime victims and witnesses through the criminal justice system.
