Dinwiddie County continues to work aggressively to meet the changing needs of its citizens
Although still a rural community, Dinwiddie County has experienced a great deal of growth in the last 20 years. Strategically located in the Mid-Atlantic along Interstates 85 and 95, Dinwiddie County has been the site of choice for several industries wishing to expand or relocate. Industrial growth coupled with the continuing shift in population from urban to suburban or rural locations has resulted in a 10% population increase since 1990.
