Planning and Zoning

The Dinwiddie County Planning Commission is established under the authority of the Code of Virginia to make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors of Dinwiddie County and to assist the Board of Supervisors and County staff in the administration of the Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances, the Comprehensive Plan, and with other policies and matters affecting the general welfare, development and growth of the County.

There are ­seven members of the Commission, each appointed by the Board of Supervisors of Dinwiddie County to serve a four year term

The Planning Commission meets every second Wednesday of the month, with Work Sessions beginning at 6:00 P.M. and Public Hearings beginning at 7:00 P.M.
