Working With You to Keep Dinwiddie Clean

The Department of Waste Management is responsible for the collection of waste material in the county. Gene Jones and his staff are dedicated to meeting the environmental needs of our county by providing:

- Newspaper, magazine, cardboard, waste oil, and plastics recycling stations
- Clothing and shoe recycling bins at man sites and at the landfill
- Rohoic and Mckenney Trash Collection Centers
- Hazardous materials disposal sponsored annually by the Extension Service
- Convenient landfill hours
The Dinwiddie County Solid Waste Department would like to thank all the individuals and businesses who helped us reach our recycling goal for 2008.
If you recycle and were not contacted or want more information about recycling programs in Dinwiddie County, please contact a member of our staff at 469-4545 and we will work together to achieve our 2009 goals.
There is no charge to Dinwiddie County residents for the disposal of refuse such as brush, limbs or appliances at the landfill.
