Waste Management
General Information

Dinwiddie County encourages recycling and offers residential waste disposal services to County residents at no charge.  Manned convenience centers and dumpster sites are located throughout the County for disposal of recyclables and household waste.

Construction debris and commercial waste disposal is only available at the main convenience center on Wheelers Pond Road for a fee of $35/ton of waste over 500 pounds.  Payment may be made on site by check or by credit card for a 3% convenience fee.  Cash payments must be made at the Treasurer’s Office in the Pamplin Administration Building at 14016 Boydton Plank Road, Dinwiddie VA.   Nonpayment of disposal fees will result in refusal to accept future commercial debris.

Hazardous materials are not accepted by Waste Management, but an annual disposal event is sponsored by the County’s Cooperative Extension Services.  For more information, call (804) 469-4545.

Please help keep Dinwiddie clean by reporting illegal dumping to the Sheriff’s Office at (804) 469-4550.
