Program Description


The Get Fit Fitness Membership program offers participants access to nine (9) different fitness classes that occur over 50 times a month in the Dewitt Fitness Studio at the Eastside Community Enhancement Center and the Sylvia Taylor Epps Aerobics Studio at the Ragsdale Community Center. 

In addition, to the fitness classes the membership also provides unlimited access to the Edgehill Fitness Room and the Aetna Better Health CrossFit Exercise Room.  The fitness membership is valid for 1-calendar month (January, February, March, etc.).  
 
Get Fit Membership includes unlimited monthly access to:

Zumba:  Dance your way to a fitter you with Zumba!!!  Learn the exciting Latin moves and rhythm.

Fitness Fusion:  A medium/high impact workout mixing kickboxing, intervals, weights and general aerobics to tighten and tone while you burn calories.

PiYO:  PiYO combines the best Pilates and Yoga inspired moves cranked up in speed to give you full cardio, strength, and flexibility training all at once.  PiYo packs it all into each workout so you can build lean muscle mass while you are burning off calories.

Cardio Mix
:  This class contains activities that increase muscle tone and body stabilization.  Workout programs focus on the abs and lower back.

Weight Training:  Spice up your workout program with a full bod weight training class.  This class is aimed at improving muscle tone, strength and most importantly, improving your bone density.

Slow Jam Interval Strength Training:  A Low/Medium Intensity workout mixing dance and weights in INTERVALS to help burn calories and build strength.  Exercises can be modified to meet your level of fitness.  Location:  Ragsdale Community Center |  Instructor:  Eileen Drake

Step AerobicsNEED WE SAY MORE?!?!

Kickboxing:  This workout combines aerobics, cardiovascular, and body toning.  Improve your strength, muscle tone, endurance, and reduce belly fat and stress levels.

Popular Line Dancing:  This program is designed to appeal to line dancers of all experience levels.  New dances will be introduced to all of the basic movement combinations commonly seen in popular line dances.

Edgehill Fitness RoomThe Edgehill Fitness Room houses a variety of cardio machines, including ellipticals and stationary bikes. Sign up and come for the day without the stress of paying for a monthly membership. Enjoy working out, getting in shape, and reducing your stress levels.

Aetna Better Health of Virginia CrossFit Exercise Room:  The Aetna Better Health of Virginia CrossFit Exercise Room houses two (2) treadmills, one (1) recumbent bike, a spin bike, elliptical machine, ab crunch machine, pull-up/dip rack, digital scale and a five (5) stack universal weight machine. Sign up and work out for $1.00 per hour and forget about the hassle of paying for a monthly membership fee. Enjoy working out, getting in shape and reducing your stress levels.
