E-File Civil Cases

Virginia Judiciary E-Filing System (VJEFS)

The Virginia Judiciary E-Filing System (VJEFS) is a comprehensive e-filing system developed by the Office of the Executive Secretary of the Supreme Court of Virginia, to integrate the circuit court clerks’ offices’ existing statewide Circuit Case Management, Case Imaging, and Financial Management Systems, thereby improving the efficiency of clerks’ offices.

There is no fee for this service. Initial filings of civil cases by paper will be charged an additional $5.00 fee. The additional $5.00 fee is not charged for e-filings.
