Free Access to Land Records Index

Description of service:

Anyone can now search Dinwiddie's Land Record's Index back to 1970 without paying a monthly fee. There is an option to purchase a document and a Clerk will email you the document within 1 business day. You will not be able to view images with this service. State Law currently prohibits viewing any document online without paying a subscription fee.

Instructions to sign up:

1. Setup your account by submitting this online form. A login username and password is required to search the online index.
2. After you submit the online form, a clerk will email and confirm that your account is setup and active.
3. You can access the index from thecourts website.
4. From that website click on login on the left hand side and enter your username and password.
5. You are now able to search all Land Records, Wills, Judgments back to 1970.
6. While you are searching for documents you can purchase a document to be emailed to you. You will see an option on the right hand screen to add the document to the cart. Once you have added all the documents you want you can click on the shopping cart icon at the top to check out and pay for your documents.
7. After you have completed the purchase/check out a clerk will email your requested documents in 1 business day.

Refund Policy

There will be no refund or returns for any purchases unless the Dinwiddie Circuit Court is unable to provide the purchased document.
